SSP Rajouri bats for strong CI network, vigil on OGWs

Rajouri, Jan 18: In order to review the overall functioning at sub divisional, police station and police post level, Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri Yougal Manhas on Saturday chaired an important review meeting of district police Rajouri .
Meeting was held in conference hall of District Police Lines Rajouri and was attended by Addl SP Rajouri Liaqat Ali, Additional SP Nowshera G L Sharma and , Sub Divisional Police Officers, all Station House Officers and Police Post Incharges.
The crime cases registration, their investigation part and disposal for the year 2019 was put to threadbare discussion in the meeting wherein Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri Yougal Manhas directed all the concerned officers to ensure that crime related cases, especially of heinous crime , are disposed on priority in a quality manner .
He further asked to keep in place a strong mechanism of preventive nature against acts of crime besides action against notorious criminals under strict provisions of law.
In context with Anti Militancy front, SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas told all officers that a better coordination between all security agencies and forces is a pre-requisite in Counter Insurgency and issued strict directions to keep vigil on the activities of OGWs of Rajouri district.
" Whenever any information of suspicious movement from any area is received, the response should be in minimum possible time and all SOPs should be followed in letter and spirit," SSP Rajouri told officers terming every information, weather confirmed or unconfirmed, as valuable in Counter Insurgency.
He directed all the officers posted in LoC area to expedite public contact to ensure that people share any information of militant movement with forces in a hassle free manner.
SSP further directed officers to notify all the past infiltration routes and to lay supervision mechanism over these routes.
While reviewing the security arrangements for upcoming Republic Day, he asked officers to ensure that fool-proof security arrangements remain in place for smooth conduct of national event and any evil design of anti-social elements are foiled.
In view of forthcoming VVIP visits across Rajouri district, Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri Yougal Manhas directed all the officers to implement all security related directions in letter and spirit with area sensitisation on venues be kept as top priority.
