DBPS organizes function, felicitate meritorious students

JAMMU, Jan 20: Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha (DBPS) organized a function today to felicitate the meritorious students of Brahman Community, who excelled in the academic and other co-curricular activities during the year 2018 and 2019.
Jammu University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Manoj Dhar was the Chief Guest while Chander Mohan Sharma President Tawi Andolan and Amit Sharma Administrator Associated Hospital, GMC Jammu were the Guest of Honour. President of Dorgra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha Ved Prakash Sharma was presided over the function.
Addressing on the occasion President of Sabha Ved Prakash Sharma highlighted the achievements of the sabha. Vice-Chancellor Jammu University complimented the DBPS for its endeavor to encourage the students for their achievements and said that the initiative will go a long way in inspiring more students to excel in their career. He also highlighted the rich contribution of the Sabha for the development of the society and mankind, irrespective of caste creed and color.
Tawi Andolan President Chander Mohan Sharma while speaking on the occasion urged the functionaries of the Sabha to enlarge their activities for the welfare of the poor sections of the society. He also congratulated the students and their parents for their achievements and wished them for a better future.
Advocate P.C. Sharma praised girl students, who outshined the boys with their outstanding performance in the 10th and 12th class exams and said that this is the indication of a vibrant and prosperous future generation.
He also asked the meritorious students to help the fellow students to do well in their career. Sharma highlighted the long and rich history of Dogra Brahman Pratinidhi Sabha and said that the Sabha has been doing yeoman’s job since past 150 years.
Archita Kesar, Arnav Sharma, Dhanjay Sharma, Pranav Chibber, Ridhi Sharma, Rishita Sharma, Ambika Sharma, Inu Sharma, Shivang Sharma, Ananya Khajuria, Damini Sharma, Taniya Sharma, Dawan Padha, Disha Sharma, Shubam Sharma and other students were among the meritorious students who excelled in the academic and other co-curricular activities.
