| Poonch administration holds public outreach program | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, Jan 21: District Administration Poonch today held a mega public outreach program under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Rahul Yadav, here at GDC Poonch.
Chairman BDC Surankote, SDM Surankote, BDO, district Officers, Surpanchs, panchs, senior officers besides locals attended the program.
During the outreach programme Horticulture Department provided 3 power tillers for horticulture mechanization under Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture.
The Department of School Education provided financial assistance of Rs. 5000 to the girl students of various schools under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme through DDC.
ICDS Department distributed playing kits, suits, school bags and blankets to the inmates of Bal Ashram Surankote.
Department of Social Welfare provided Rs. 41780 to four girls under State Marriage Assistance Scheme.
The Department of FCS&CA distributed LPG connections to the people on the occasion. ICDS department also facilitated the best ASHA workers.
PHE department distributed water testing kits to the people to check the quality of water and other purposes. A plantation drive was also organised on the occasion.
DDC thanked the public for their cooperation and support for making the program successful.
Meanwhile, a similar public outreach program was held in Tehsil Mandi under the chairmanship of ADDC Mohd Rashid Chowdhary.
ADC Sheraz Malik , ASP Adil Hamid besides team of district officers were present on the occasion besides BDC chairperson, sarpanchs, Panchs, Anganwari workers and locals in large number were present on the occasion.
