EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Jan 21: Crime Branch, Jammu (CBJ) has registered a formal case against few land grabbers and some revenue officials for conspiring and cheating a person by issuing forged revenue extracts in the shape of ‘fard intekhab’ and ‘Aks Sajra’ for 2 kanals of JDA land at prime location at Paloura, Jammu.
The case was registered against one Sham Singh, son of Bari Singh of Sec-4 Pamposh Colony, Janipur Jammu, Sujan Singh, son of Nand Lal of Bahu Fort Jammu and the revenue officials Maqbool Hussain - the then Patwari Halqa Paloura, Jammu and the then concerned Naib Tehsildar and the then concerned Tehsildar.
The instant case owes its origin to a written complaint lodged in Crime Branch, Jammu by complainant Col Mohan Gandotra, son of Baldev Raj Gandotra of H No 23, Lane No 1 Suraksha Vihar Paloura Top, Tehsil & District, Jammu, alleging therein that his father had purchased a land measuring 2 Kanals from Sham Singh (through his attorney holder Sujan Singh) by virtue of two sale deeds after concerned revenue officials had issued revenue extracts in Khasra No 670 min in favour of the accused Sham Singh.
Taking cognizance into the matter, Crime Branch, Jammu initiated a preliminary verification and during enquiry it was found that concerned revenue officers /officials had mutated the land in question in favour of father of the complainant, however, the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) claimed it as their own land and erected boundary pillars in the said land in the year 2018.
It has also come to fore that there was only 4 marlas share of the accused Sham Singh left in the above said kahsra and the said accused through his attorney holder -Sujan Singh after hatching a criminal conspiracy with the revenue officials /officers forged revenue documents and sold 2 kanals of land after giving physical possession of JDA land.
