Officers to take NoC for staying in private hotels during official visit at Delhi

Jammu, Jan 21: In an attempt to check misuse of government expenditure, administration of Union Territory (UT) of J&K has directed officers to stay at official accommodations instead of private hotels while travelling outside J&K.
Incase officers have to stay in private hotels while travelling outside,they have to take No Objection Certificate from resident commissioner of J&K New Delhi.
Official order in this regard has been issued by General Administration Department on Tuesday in which clarification regarding Travelling Allowance (TA) has been made. “Consequent to issuance of Government Order No 494-F of 20 19 dated 20- 12-20 19 regarding Travelling Allowance (TA) entitlements of members of All India Services serving in connection with the affairs of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, all the Departments are advised to strictly observe the following instructions in addition to the regulation of Travelling Allowance of members of All India Services in accordance with Office Memorandum No. 19030/ 112017-E.IV dated 13-07-2017 read with Office Memorandum of even No. dated 01-02-2018 issued by Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance,
Government of India”, mentioned in the circular issued today. “In case of visit to Delhi or some other places on official tour where Government of Jammu and Kashmir provides accommodation for Government Officers, No Objection Certificate, shall be obtained from the Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi/Joint or
Deputy Resident Commissioner concerned to the effect that “No accommodation is available during the visit of the officern in case the officer stays elsewhere. The visit shall be planned well in advance to achieve cost efficiency”, order stated.
