J&K Volleyball Jr. Team to participate in national competition

JAMMU, Jan 21: The Jammu and Kashmir Volleyball Junior Boys team is all set to leave for participation in the 46th Junior National Volleyball Championship for boys and girls on Wednesday. The national competition is to be held at Razampet, Kadappa from 26th to 31st January. Prior to proceeding for National participation the team underwent 17 days intensive Coaching Camp at District Police Line, Volleyball Ground, Jammu under the supervision of Ravi Singh Divisional Sports Officer (J) of J&K Sports Council Jammu. Sidharth Daluja President & Office bearers of Volleyball Association of J&K distributed the sports kits and track suit to the players and wishes the teams for better result in the National Championship.
The team consists of the following player’s officials Shabir Ahmed, Umar Majeed, Varun Badyal, Shubam Sharma, Abdul Khaliq, Syed Amar Safdar, Pankaj Sharma, Vipan Kumar, Ibrar Ahmed, Neeraj Kumar, Suhail Zahoor and Rohit Singh. The J&K Volleyball Boys team are screened by Ravi Singh, Divisional Sports Officer (J), J&K Sports Council and Satish Gupta, Manager M.A. Stadium Sports Complex Jammu on January 18.
Abdul Ahad Shah, Sh. Naresh Kumar and Sh Subash Kumar Shastri are accompanying the team as manager and coaches respectively. J&K Boys Team is placed in the Pool-B and will play their matchers against Himachal Pradesh, Andra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tripura, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
