One arrested with stolen property

Jammu, Jan 21: The Bakhshi Nagar Police today arrested one youth and recovered stolen property on his revelation.
According to sources, On 15-01-2020, a complainant namely Ankush Abrol son of Ratish Chander resident of Rehari Colony, Sarwal lodged a written complaint at Police Station-Bakshi Nagar regarding theft at his home. Based on this, FIR No. 15/2020 U/s 454, 380 Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered at PS Bakshi Nagar, Jammu and investigation of the matter taken up. A special investigation team led by SI Vishav Partap Katoch, Incharge Police Post-Sarwal, was constituted. During investigation, several witnesses were examined and suspects were rounded up. Based on the leads developed, one person namely Sahil Dogra resident Bakshi Nagar, Jammu was arrested.
During questioning, the said accused admitted his involvement in above mentioned crime and based on his disclosure, stolen property worth RS. 3,25,000/- comprising Gold & Silver ornaments and cash was recovered. Further investigation into the case is going on.
