DODA, Jan 21: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Doda Kishori Lal Sharma flagged off ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ walkathon from Sports Stadium Doda via DC office to Old Bus Stand with an aim to generate awareness among the masses to save and educate the girl child.
ADC said that district administration in collaboration with ICDS department organized the walkathon to spread and promote the message in each and every corner of the district.
Girls and boys of different age groups, Anganwadi workers, members of Childline Doda, CWC, ICPS participated in the rally and displayed the banners besides chanted the slogans in support of the program. Similar program was also conducted at block level to spread the message at grass root level.
PO ICDS Shahida Parveen, PO IWMP Vinay Kumar, CEO Doda Tariq Hussain, DSWO/IC Director Childline Doda Zubair Ahmed, CDPO Bhagwah, Coordinator Childline along with members, besides other officials of the district administration were also present during the program.
