POONCH, Jan 22:District Hospital Poonch , SDHs and Primary Health Centers in MendharMandi, Surankote sub divisions of district are without heating systems due to which the patients and the staff are facing immense inconvenience in harsh winter season.
Sources said that almost all PHCs in the entire Poonch District that includes the hospitals in block MendharMandi and Surankote are without any heating system due to which not only the patients but the staff working in these hospitals shiver in the biting cold and are unable to perform their duties.
Residents of Mendhar said that the patients admitted in the hospitals shiver and are forced to leave the hospital due to non availability of heating systems in the hospitals. People alleged that the District Hospital Poonch and SDH Mendhar ,Mandi and Surankote have no heating systems available, the authorities have failed to make any heating systems .The attendants of patients admitted in various wards here complained that the non availability of heating system was making life difficult for ailing people.
Sources said the patients were suffering immensely due to lack of heating arrangements during nights as the temperature has reached to the freezing point," they added. |
