Tripura Trail by 24 Runs on day 2 stumps

JAMMU, Jan 22: Jammu and Kashmir under 23 team seem to have learned as they bundled out tour time Tripura team under 178 runs after scoring 247 runs in first innings in Col C K Nayudu Trophy.
Jammu and Kashmir won the toss on day one and opted to bowl first; in reply Tripura scored 178 runs courtesy economic spell of Imtiyaz Ahmad Ganai, who took four wickets in12 over’s conceding 32 runs. And, of course Rouf Ahmad Bhat, who managed 3 wickets as well for Jammu and Kashmir.
Sankar Paul and R N Saha were the highest scorer for Tripura. Sankar Paul scored 73 and R N Saha managed 41 runs and rest of the players could not score much of the runs.
Coming to bat in second innings, Musaif Ajaz scored 92 important runs to keep Jammu and Kashmir in game and helped them reach the score of 247 runs in first innings. Nipun Verma scored 33 runs; Abhishant Bakshi managed 39 runs which were also crucial.
For Tripura, Captain S S Ghosh and T R Mandal took four wickets each. Jammu and Kashmir had 69 runs in second innings. While Tripura were 45 for the loss of three wickets on day 2 stumps as the tour team trail by24 runs with two days to play.
So far, Jammu and Kashmir has played four games, wherein Jammu and Kashmir had won two games and lost two.
Jammu and Kashmir has won game against Jharkhand on first inning lead, while they lost the second against Chhattisgarh after that Jammu and Kashmir played was against Haryana and lost last game to Railways over first inning lead.
