Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 22: The students of Law Department of Jammu University today had to face tough time, when they appeared for their Semester-V exam and found misprinting error in their exam paper which led to huge confusion among the students.
Sources told Early Times that the issue erupted during exam of Administrative Law of Semester-V, in which typographical error in question paper crated confusion among the students due to which students could not attempt a particular section of exam. Although students raised objection on the exam paper, yet department failed to sort out the issue and put the students in grave distress.
They further said that the exam paper of Administrative Law was comprised of two sections and the typographical error was found in Section-II, wherein questions from four units were asked. Two questions were asked from each unit wherein students had to attempt only one but confusion erupted when questions of Unit-IV were not mentioned and were combined with Unit-III.
“Students failed to understand that which two questions out of four had to attempt and many students attempted only one. The students alleged that typographical error in exam paper made students unable to take right decision, which to loss of at least 20 marks and demanded grace marks,” they alleged.
When Early Times contacted HOD Law Department of Jammu University Kulwant Singh, he said that it was just typographical error and he would see matter after consulting the other faculty members. On asking demand of students for granting grace marks, the HOD denied the demand
