Rameshwar Teli visits Ramban, inaugurates girls hostel

RAMBAN, Jan 23: As part of the public outreach programme launched by the Centre Government for the Union Territory of J&K, Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Rameshwar Teli today impressed upon the PRIs to work with zeal and dedication to fulfil the motive of "Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas" a tagline of Modi Government.
The Minister said this while addressing a mammoth gathering at Kanthi area of district Ramban.
Personal Secretary, Vrinder Mittal, Deputy Commissioner, Nazim Zai Khan, SSP, Anita Sharma, Director Horticulture, Raj Kumar Katoch , ADDC, Nawab Din, ADC, Ashok Kumar and various senior officers, BDC Chairpersons, PRIs and large number of general public attended the function.
The Union Minister inaugurated a one hundred bedded Girls Hostel at Kanthi constructed by the PWD with an expenditure of rupees 2.82 crore under RMSA besides planting saplings of different species in the premises of Government Higher Secondary School, Kanthi.
He also inspected the stalls established by the Agriculture and Horticulture department.
Meanwhile, the Union Minister highlighted achievements recorded in J&K under various central schemes. He said that the government of India is committed to overall development of Jammu and Kashmir (UT) and the schemes like AYUSHMAN BHARAT YOJANA, PMAY, Khelo India and several social schemes are being effectively implemented here. He said that PM Narinder Modi asked the ministers to go among the public to assess their problems and desires besides exploring the possibilities of development in all aspects to make Jammu and Kashmir an advanced and developed UT.
Minister said that various projects are going on in UT of J&K and Ladakh for which 80,000 crore have already sectioned by the PM and government is very keen to complete the ongoing projects including railway and four laning projects on priority basis.
He assured that his ministry would organise skill development programme for women of the hilly and far-flung district Ramban so that they can start their own food processing units to improve their socio- economic status. He also invited the youths to start their business units besides assured them full cooperation from his department.
