MVIS stages street play

Jammu, Jan 23: MV International School organized a street play at Samba Chowk, near Block Development Office (BDO) Samba in which 27 students from classes 6th to 11th participated. The street play was on the topic “Carbon Emission”. This public show was aimed at generating awareness amongst the people regarding the harmful effects of emission of carbon in the atmosphere in the today’s world. The students showcased how different factors like increased factory setups, fuel, gas, electricity, transport, waste etc are the leading factors for change in climate leading to Global Warming. This show has also made people aware about the policies and programs, that government has adopted to tackle this issue. This activity was organized under the banner of British Council International School Award (ISA).
This play was witnessed by Sarpanches of samba district, businessman of Samba market and prominent citizens. The school authorities extended heartfelt thanks to Ms. Rupinder Kour, KAS, BDO, Samba for providing the venue for the event. The public gathered appreciated the efforts made by students to create awareness among them. They were quite impressed by the efforts of the students of the school and they showed overwhelming response by participating in large numbers.
