Udhampur, Jan 24: On the instruction of SSP Rajiv Om Parkesh Pandey Udhampur police have tightened security in the Jammu - Srinagar National Highway , Darh road Roundomail to battle and city to give residents a sense of safety.
The police have deployed personnel and police control room (PCR) vans and bikes at places that witness large crowds in major traffic , city mall , and other area just like buss stand and other traffic places and proper check of there on the republic day . All station house officers (SHOs) have been issued instructions to ensure that the PCR vans and in their respective jurisdictions should go on patrolling on the night time in national highway and other adjoining link road , ruler area , Darh road , Roundomail police post , Manwal police post , battle morh specially Naka on 24 hours permanently and not simply stand outside police stations. And Regular checking at railway stations, bus stands, inns is going on to and night patrolling has also been started even bikes used for patrolling at night times and we are adjoining with CRPF , army on the patrolling time and checking all the vehicles going toward coming from the Srinagar to JAMMU and national highway checking start from the Tikri police post to Jekhani Chowk are very tightened and check all the vehicles properly by the police and CRPF and no less security of their side , said SSP Udhampur Rajiv Omprakash Pandey.
