Katra, Jan 24: Ahead of the Republic Day and the burgeoning pilgrim numbers, security arrangements have been beefed up around the Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra, 56 Km from Jammu.
A detailed security review was held at Katra and Bhawan by DIG UR Range Sujit Kumar Singh along with Commandant 06 BN CRPF Sh Jatinder Gupta ,Addl SP Katra Naresh Singh SDPO Katra Vivek Shekhar , SHO Katra , SHO Bhawan and Other officers of Army CID and Security wing. Various issues related to the security of Holy shrine were discussed in the meeting..
Later , onground inspection of deployment was made by the officers . officers deployed on ground were briefed to remain fully alert and take all the security measures to maintain security of the shrine Help of local public of katra town was also sought during the visit.
