RMPS celebrates sports cum grandparents’ day

Jammu, Jan 24: Students of RM Public School today celebrates Sports cum Grandparents day.
The celebration started by lightning the sacred flame lit by the guests Anil Goswami (Former Home secretary of India), Vikram Randhawa (MLC J&K), I.D Soni (Commissioner Scouts & guides),Col.Chouhan (11 Grandier) and other dignitaries which represented the endeavour for perfection and symbolized the spirit knowledge and life.
The programme emphasized on the importance of sports as well as grandparents in a child’s life.
The dignitaries were also welcomed by the students of 5th standard – Anshul and Samreen and welcome song performed by 1st and 2nd standard students trained by music teachers Naresh and Amoos.
All the guests and invited dignitaries took the salute of impressive March past of the students coupled with some stirring marching music by the band.
The Pre- Primary section enthralled the spectators with their skillful activities like Matsogi, Bend knee, count the marbles, etc trained by PHE teachers Simranjot Singh, Vipen ,Bittu kotwal, Savita and other teachers Anju Choudhary, Meenu Sharma and swarn Kour. Cultural program was given by Ist, 2nd and 3rd std.
Aerobic dance trained by Ajay Kumar, Himachali folk dance trained by Varun and komal and Bharatnatyam trained by Shilpi were performed on the stage.
The students who were honoured are Antarpreet, Prabhjot Singh, Arham wani and Hiyan Gupta of class 3rd, Nahira Fatima, Avneesh Kour and Harpreet Singh of class 4th, Harsimran Singh, Jaskaran Singh, Chahat Rajput and Manroop of class 5th and Avleen kour of class 2nd. .The eventful day ended with the vote of thanks given by the 5th standard students and with the National Anthem.
