1/24/2020 11:10:40 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 24: Slamming the callous attitude of the concerned authorities and members of the previous Medical Teacher Association for its failure to conduct election, the doctors of the Government Medical College and hospital and its associated hospitals have decided to make a parallel body for the welfare of the fraternity.

After healthy discussion through meetings as well as social networking, a senior doctor told that it was decided to elect a parallel body as the some of the members do not want to election of defunct MTA would be held that why doctors are about to create separate body to highlight the various issues before the concerned quarters.
“Like other Medical Colleges which have various doctors’ bodies to represent their voice before the concerned authorities and highlight the problems being faced by the doctors, we have to set up a body in GMC Jammu for the same and last some days we have reached the conclusion that a separate body should be created,” doctor emphasized.
Senior doctors told that since then the tenure of the above-said body had been completed, the various issues regarding the welfare of the doctors’ fraternity and others issues were deliberately neglected and undeserving doctors are securing their personnel interest and genuine is suffering a lot in the absence of the doctors’ body.
“We are going to organize a meeting with a number of working doctors along with retired ones , who are interested, and further plan of action would be decided and hoped that if everything will be fined, the election of the same would be held soon, “he hoped.
