DDC reviews bottlenecks impending NH-44 four laning project, resolves confronting issues

RAMBAN, Jan 28: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan convened a meeting with officers, representatives of NHAI and construction agencies working on prestigious four laning project of NH- to resolve land acquisition and other confronting issues. The meeting was attended by ADC, Ashok Sharma, Project Director, NHAI, Parshotam Kumar, SDMs, Tehsildars, DFOs, Xens, CHO, representatives of the companies, Navayuga, HCC, GAMMON India, NHAI besides officer from Revenue and Forest department. Taking into account importance of prestigious National Highway four lane work, DDC assured the companies engaged on job for removing all bottlenecks on National Highway and other construction sites. He discussed all the issues and passed on directions to concerned officers for timely redresal of the same. DDC reviewed the progress of work stretch wise and fixed the time line for the completion of same. He directed the XEN, TLMDL to ensure shifting of identified tower in safer place so that road construction work can be completed.
Responding to issues including land for dumping yards DDC directed the revenue officers to conduct joint visit to proposed sites alongwith team of concerned departments and resolve the bottlenecks. DDC fixed the timeline to resolve the issues besides stressed upon the importance of the projects and their timely completion. DDC directed all stakeholders to work in cohesion to complete the project also sort out the pending issues of affected population due to the projects
DDC also directed the concerned authorities to ensure smooth passage of the traffic by maintaining potholes and drainages and ensuring proper maintenance of NH44 at all crucial places.
