Induction Programme for student Excellence, learning starts at GGM Science College

JAMMU, Jan 28: A one week long Student Excellence and Learning Programme (SELP) as one of the component of Education Department with support of GCET, Jammu as Nodal hub started at GGM Science College, Jammu the constituent College of the Cluster University of Jammu. The faculty from Art of Living (AOL) foundation for SELP from Banglore; the faculty/resource Persons from GGM Science College, GCET and the AOL wing of the Jammu region shall demonstrate various techniques and activities helping the students in improving their concentration and clarity of mind. Prof. KaushalSmotra, Principal,GGM Science College inaugurated the programme in presence of Ajay Kapoor, State Co-ordinator AOL, Jammu; RohitRanzan, Resource Person for AOL and State Youth Co-ordinator and International face for AOL; Prof. Anita Brar, Co-ordinator, Induction Programme GCET, Jammu; Dr. Anil Kumar Verma, Nodal Officer for Induction Programme, GGM Science College Jammu; Akshita Sharma, faculty from AOL and Prof. Rashmi Sharma, faculty from GCET, Jammu, and the participating students of the College.
The Aims of the programme is to increase the student’s efficiency productivity motivation and development of commitment towards work & developing the sense of responsibility towards the institution. The target group is 55 students of Semester- IInd selected on merit basis. The SELP programmedelivered through AOL (By VyaktiVikas Kendra) shall aid in improving student learning, boosting confidence, enhancing creativity and Communication that helps in development of leadership quality and team building skills.
