Five ‘misguided’ youth reunited with families

Anantnag, Jan 29: Anantnag Police on Wednesday reunited five ‘misguided’ youth with their families after a month long counseling.
Youth hailing from Soaf Shali and Panzgam area of Kokernag Anantnag had left their families to join militant ranks however they were detained by Jammu and Kashmir Police before they could join militancy.
As per reports, Police had detained five youth last month and were taken to Srinagar. On Wednesday, SSP Anantnag Mohd Altaf Khan along with his subordinate officials visited Kokernag and reunited youth with their families in presence of villagers. With enthusiasm, villagers and families members of youth hailed the efforts of Anantnag Police and raised slogans in favor of police officials.
SSP Anantnag told media that those five youth who had decided to join militant ranks were counseled ‘for a good period of time’ and finally reunited with their families.
