| Dr Shyam selected as executive member of TMS | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 29: Dr Shyam Kumar Magotra, a clinical tropical Medicine consultant working as Senior Medical Officer CD Hospital of the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu has been as an Executive member for the year 2019-2021 in a general body meeting of Telemedicine Society of India (TSI) held in New Delhi. The TSI is an apex body for telemedicine in India and working for telemedicine projects and presently making efforts regarding the legal aspect of Telemedicine through NITI Aayog (National Institute of Transforming India) and Ministry of Health. Dr Shyam Kumar Magotra was part of the United Nations/India Regional Workshop for Tele Epidemiology held at Lucknow (India) in October 2008. He has also been associated with adventure sports and presently working as an associate member for IMF (Indian Mountaineering Foundation) which is the apex body for Mountaineering in India. He has been a Medical doctor and climber to many Mountaineering expeditions, organised by IMF. He has also participated as a Tropical Medicine consultant to NIM (Nehru Institute of Mountaineering) Everest Expedition 2009 wherein he was involved in many rescue operations and was able to save few lives. Dr Shyam also participated in Everest Marathon 2009 and was involved in blood donations at high altitudes. |
