Samba administration organizes debate cum symposium competition under BBBP Scheme

SAMBA, Jan 29: District Administration today organised a debate cum symposium competition on “Women Empowerment” at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Jakh to promote gender equality and generate a mass awareness regarding girl rights and education under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme.
Chief Planning Officer, Sukhleen Kour, District Social Welfare Officer, Deep Kumar, Assistant Road Transport Officer, Rehana Tabassum were present on the occasion.
A total of 9 girl students of Jakh Hr. Sec. School participated in which Riya Dabgotra, stood first whereas Muskan and Anusha Verma took second and third spot respectively. Mementos and certificate of participation were presented to the winners and participating students by district Officers.
Speaking on the occasion Nodal Officer, BBBP Samba, Deep Kumar said that the debate cum symposium is step for generating awareness among the youth of the district regarding Beti Bachao Beti Padhao guidelines. He said in coming days more similar events shall be carried out in pan district.
