Stephens college conducts oath ceremony

Jammu, Jan 29: Stephens College of Nursing conducted OATH CEREMONY of 3rd batch of 1st year Nursing Students Session 2020.The Chairman of the college Dr. Kamal Saini IPS (IGP Retd) & Ms Satvinder Saini (Director SIPS) blessed all the freshers & congratulated them for joining the noble profession of Nursing. They advised the students to render their service with dedication, determination & diligence & to serve the poor & sick people wholeheartedly.
Muni Dhar (Principal SCON) welcomed the freshers & the faculty members and highlighted the importance of Nursing & the oath ceremony. She further added that it is held in reverence to Florence Nightingale.
The Lady with Lamp & the bright flame in the ceremony symbolises knowledge, enlightment experience hope & positivity. The ceremony comments with the lighting of lamp. Then all the freshers of B.Sc., GNM, GNM Lateral and Multipurpose lit the candles from the candle of wisdom and knowledge which was passed by the Principal and the Faculty Members. Kavita Rana (Asst. Professor) & Ms. Rajni Sharma (Asst. Professor) recited the pledge and the students took oath to remain sincere, loyal, honest & true to their profession throughout their life. There was aroma of piousness & positivity everywhere.
