Early Times Report KATRA, Feb 10: DST-NIMAT Project sponsored three-day entrepreneurship awareness camp was successfully conducted by Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. Dr. Suparn Kumar Sharma, Chief Coordinator, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, SMVD University, spoke on the importance of such type entrepreneurship programs in educational institutes during the opening session. With the active participation of engineering and science, management students, the camp had sessions by entrepreneurs and subject experts on the ways of starting/sustaining own business venture. The Camp had sessions, including entrepreneurship overall theories/models; historical background-Indian values vis-a-vis entrepreneurship and the present scenario; support and financial assistance from Govt. agencies, banks, financial institutions, SFCs, SIDBI and others-securities demanded by FIs/Banks, etc; mechanism of product selection and technology-assistance from R&D labs and others on choice of technology, etc.; financial aspects of MSME unit including salient features of a project report; tech. & commercial aspects of an MSME unit; how to start an MSME unit; identification of opportunities for entrepreneurs & start-ups in the region; address by practicing entrepreneur's success stories. The visits to two small enterprises also contributed significantly to understand the smooth operational dimension of an enterprise. The camp has been well supported by young entrepreneurs, including Sujat Mahajan, Mannat Products, Bari Brahamana Rajnish Sharma, Mayur Group of Hotels, Amit Pandotra Shri Mahadev Beverages and Food, Dhansal. |
