DC reviews functioning of Revenue Deptt
SDM's and Tehsildars to act as controllers in their respective jurisdiction

Kishtwar, Feb 13: After assumptions of charge, Deputy Commissioner,Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara,today reviewed functioning of Revenue Department during an officer’s meeting.
ADDC Kishtwar, ADC, ACR, SDM Paddar, SDM Marwah besides Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars attended the meeting.
The DC had detailed review of various issues like issues regarding writing up of Jamabandis and Girdawaries, attestation of mutations, progress on eviction of encroachment from State, Kahcharai, Common land and forest land,scanning and quality check of revenue record under DILRMP and other pending revenue related issues.
Deputy Commissioner, directed the revenue officers to ensure redressal of public grievances in a speedy manner besides ensuring completion of all pending works.
DC set a deadline for all concerned officers regarding writing of Jamabandis and Girdawaris.
In order to provide quick financial relief to victims during calamities, DC directed all the concerned officers to submit the relief cases in time. He also asked the concerned to attest the inheritance and other mutations within the stipulated time.
While reviewing the progress on removal of encroachments on State, Kahcharie, common and forest land, DC exhorted upon the concerned officers to keep strict vigil to prevent encroachments in and around the town and submit report by 29th of this month.
He directed to all revenue officers to organise camps for mutations and forward photographs to this office and keep the record maintained village wise.
He also directed them to utilise the services of the Chowkidars and Numberdars of District Kishtwar as their role in revenue matters are very much important.
He also directed all Tehsildars that "No Tehsildars will release or draw salaries of Patwaris and Girdawars unless they would furnish the Village Diary or Kaar Guzari", he said.
He said that SMD's and Tehsildars shall act as a controller in their respective jurisdiction. He said that the prime duty of the revenue Department is to update and maintain the revenue record .
Meanwhile, DC also directed all Tehsildars to clear all the pending cases of KCC credit cards.
