Director Health Services inspects hospitals across Akhnoor

JAMMU, Feb 13: Director Health Services Jammu, Dr. Renu Sharma today inspected facilities at Sub District Hospital Akhnoor, CHC Jorian and CHC Khour
Dr. Sharda Parihar, Assistant Director Health Education Bureau, Dr. J.P.Singh, Chief Medical Officer Jammu and R. K. Chadda, Laison Officer, Directorate of Health Services Jammu accompanied the Director. In Sub District Hospital Akhnoor, Director Health Services Jammu took round of all sections including OPD and IPD.
All consultants, doctors and paramedical staff were found present and working in their respective sections. The DHS interacted with the post operative patients and enquired about their health and facilities provided to them by the hospital management. She directed Block Medical Officer Dr. Anil Sharma to exhibit the boards and signages at appropriate places to provide better awareness to the public and to ban plastic carry bags and bottles within the hospital premises. The DHS directed the sanitary inspector to maintain cleanliness in and around the hospital. The DHS was satisfied with overall working of the hospital and directed the staff to maintain punctuality and dress code. DHS also visited under construction 200 bedded new building at Akhnoor .
At CHC Jourian, The DHS took round of all wards and OPD sections where casuality Medical Officer was present. Dr. Roopali Bakshi, Gynaecologist and Dental Surgeon were seen examining patients. I/C Medical Officer requested DHS to post paramedical staff and also demanded digital X-Ray machine for the hospital. DHS was satisfied with the overall performance of the hospital. DHS also visited newly upcoming, under construction 50 bedded hospital building at Jourian.
Later, DHS visited CHC Khour which is situated 1.5 km away from LOC where all staff was found present. She interacted with doctors and paramedical staff and directed them to work with dedication for the welfare of the people.
