Poonch wins galaxy of medals in Taekwondo championship

Jammu, Feb 16: Taekwondo players of district Poonch shined in recently concluded 22nd J&k UT Taekwondo championship 2019-20 organized by JKTA in collaboration with Directorate of Sports University of Jammu wef 13 to 15 Feb 2020 Total 30 players from district Poonch Participated in this mega event under the guidance of Rajinder singh National Referee of Taekwondo and Presently posted Physical education teacher in DYSS and Ashaq Hussain Astt Coach of District Poonch. Performing excellently Poonch players won 6 Gold 5 silver And 6 bronze medals. The medal winners were in sub junior Tawashak Tripathi Gold, Mohd Adil khan Silver, Zahid Bashir Silver, Krishna Dutta Bronze, Mudabir Ayaz bronze, in cadet category Vishnu Raina -33kg Gold medal, Vishvas Sudan - 44 kg Gold, Akarshit sudan -53 kg Gold, Toseef Tahir -48 Gold, Jessica singh -44 kg Gold , Qasim hussain -38 Silver, Manpreet Kour -38 Silver, Khalida Jabeen -41kg, Won Silver medals, While in Junior category Harshdev Singh, Saksham Sharma, karan Bharghav, manmeet Singh.
