POONCH, Feb 16: Baloni village of Mendhar Divsion, a remote place in Mendhar having a population of about 20 thousand souls is lacking both road and communication connectivity in this digital era.
Tall claims are being made by the successive Central and State Governments for long for upliftment of the far flung, backward and hilly areas of the country/State.
Though there are various Centrally Sponsored Schemes for the development of these areas but on ground there is no development in the areas for which they are meant. The hapless, poor and backward people of BalonI village also meet the same fate in the developmental activities.
For want of mobile/internet facility student community does not get the benefit of internet which elude them to get benefits of information sources in pursuing their studies, preparing themselves for exams, entrance tests or interviews and undergoing higher studies when they have to compete with the aspirants of cities where all such facilities are available. They are thus discriminated and deprived of these basic amenities of life.
Moreover, the general public is also suffering for want of this facility. They feel handicapped in contacting their family members living outside for earning their livelihood or vice versa. The persons at the helm of affairs are least worried about the misery people are facing. |
