JAMMU, Feb 17: The 2nd meeting of Board of Directors (BoD) of Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) after unbundling of Erstwhile JKPDD, was held, here today.
Managing Director, JPDCL, Yasha Mudgal, convened the meeting which was chaired by Secretary to Government PDD, M. Raju.
Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Sanjeev Verma; Inspector General of Police, Jammu Mukesh Singh; Director DP&T Division, CEA, Hemant Kumar Pandey; Director, Thermal MOP, GoI, Sanjeev Kumar Kassi and Addl. Secy. Science & Technology Department, Shafiq Ahmed, attended meeting as the Directors of JPDCL.
Several major and important decisions were taken in the meeting.
Being in the formative/transition stage from Department to Corporation, the statuary obligations and stipulations as per the Companies Act, 2013 were deliberated and approved by the Board. Various Financial, Managerial and Administrative decisions were also taken as per the agenda note.
Further, deliberations were also held on various other issues like constitution and approval of various Technical and Financial Committees, Delegation of powers to MD and other levels, establishment of MD Office, empowerment of MD for taking necessary steps toward revenue realization, creating mass awareness about the benefits of newly set up Corporation and for the smooth functioning of the Corporation. |
