Evengical Church registers wins in 3rd Inter Church Cricket Championship

Jammu, Feb 17: Evengical Church Ustad Mohalla registered great win against Bethesda Pentecostal Church and entered in the next round of ongoing “3rd Inter Church Cricket Championship” at Alexander Memorial School Ground Jammu which is being organized by Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu under the supervision of Fr. Kuriakose President Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu and Rajesh Gill President Christian Sports Organization Jammu whereas the conduct committee of the championship includes Edwin Khokher, William Mattoo, Johnson Gill, Asif Gill, David Mattoo, Griffan Gill, Sunny Gill, Amit, Asif Paul Gill and Mithu.
The slogan of the Championship is “Be Healthy- stay away from drugs” and main objective of the event is to involve the Christian Youths in sports activities so that they may not involve in drugs and can live a healthy life.
Fr. Kuriakose, Pastor Anthony and Pastor Vinod Victor were the special guests in today’s match They appreciated the participating teams for their great sportsman spirit in the match and also conveyed their best wishes for the rest of the matches in the championship. Later on they prayed before God for the good health of all participating players and remain stay away from drugs.
In today’s match Evengical Church Ustad Mohalla defeated Bethesda Pentecostal Church by 75 runs. Batting first Evengical Church scored 198 runs in the allotted 12 Overs by losing 4 wickets. Shaheen 69 runs, Sabastian 66 runs and Anthony 20 runs were the main scorers. From the bowling side Aman & Ravi took 2 wicket each. In reply Bethesda Pentecostal Church could not chased the target and managed to score 123 runs by losing all wickets thus lost the match by 75 runs. Aman scored 61 runs while Bunty scored 18 runs. From the bowling side Saheen took 3 wickets while Anthony and Sachin took 1 wicket each. Saheen declared man of the match for his alround performance. The match was officiated by Mithu,Asif Gill and Amit Athwal.
