Early Times Report

JAMMU, Feb 16: Kashmiri Pandits have made it clear that no return and rehabilitation formula will be acceptable to them which fails to redress the Geo political aspirations of the community leading an exiled life for over last 31 years outside Valley.
Taking serious exception to the exercise being launched by Government by roping in some displaced Pandit organisations in this regard, various KP leaders including representatives of Panun Kashmir, All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC), Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC), Kashmir Samiti Delhi (KSD) All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee(AIMCCC), Overaged Youth and Relief holders organisation etc have taken serious exception of Government.
The leaders of these organisations have cautioned the Modi Government not to tread the same path which was adopted by the previous governments of Congress in this regard. The leaders of these organisations made it clear to Government that no return formula will be acceptable to displaced Pandits which fails to address their Geo political aspirations.
Pandit leaders said that any return formula which fails to provide guarantee that there will be no migration in future through the hands of radical forces in Valley and they lead an honourable and dignified life which is only practicable in implementation of Margdarshan resolution of 1991.
The KP leaders while taking exception to holding of meetings and starting a reconciliation process with some majority community leaders who have no base on ground in Valley and who have been rejected by masses said such self styled leaders who have no guarantee of their own can't ensure safety and security to displaced Pandits.
They said only Margdarshan resolution is a set formula which can ensure dignified return and fulfill Geo political aspirations of Pandits.
The KP leaders as per reliable sources have decided to hold a consensus on Margdarshan resolution so that no confusing signals are given to Government. They have also cautioned the community not to fall in trap of touts who are trying to lure the youth on false promises.
They said Pandits should not play in the hands of such touts and play with their honour and dignity.
