CB books fraudster for obtaining fictitious PRC

Jammu, Feb 18: Crime Branch (CB) Jammu registered a criminal case against an alleged fraudster for obtaining fictitious PRC and yielding concomitant benefits.
According to CB’s spokesperson, Mohinder Pal Singh son of Piara Lal resident of Korotana Kalan, Tehsil Suchetgarh, R.S Pura Jammu, presently staying at Haryana has been booked for fraudulently obtaining PRC (permanent resident certificate) in connivance with the concerned revenue officials.
“He took all the benefits of being a resident of Jammu and Kashmir, including allotment of land at village Korotana Kalan Tehsil Suchetgarh R.S Pura District, Jammu, getting compensation of Rs. 5,49,665.00 from the Government fraudulently, thereby cheating the Jammu and Kashmir Government”, the spokesperson said. “On the basis of a complaint was lodged by one Gurnam Singh against the accused for having fraudulently procured PRC and subsequently yielding all the benefits as resident of Jammu and Kashmir”, the CB claimed and added that proceedings in matter initiated during the course of enquiry the allegations were prima-facie established, leading to the registration of the instant case, under proper sections of law, for in-depth investigation. “The investigation of the case has been set in motion”, the CB said.
