Jammu, Feb 18: Hotel and Restaurant Association Katra (HRAK) & PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industy, Jammu region (PHDCCI) urged the government to develop ropeways to Amarnath ji, Shiv Khori, Katra Shankercharya and Deva Mai.
According to press release, Wazir said that one thing should keep in mind that investors will invest only in those projects where the return on investment is high and Katra and Shiv Khori are the places where the footfall of Tourists/pilgrims is highest in state and same is the position of Amarnath ji is there where the viability of ropeways is highest.
Kesar while speaking on the occasion said that our state has got vast potential for religious Tourism and all religious places including Vaishnodevi ji, Shiv Khori,Amarnath ji etc. has seen sharp increase in their pilgrim number in the last few years and these ropeways besides viability will increase Yatra influx tremendously to these places and in case of Amarnath ji after starting of the ropeway the government can increase the duration of yatra as well to this shrine and requested the government for starting of the ropeways there at the Public-Private model immediately or should invest on their own.
