Pentecostal Mission Church registers wins in 3rd Inter Church Cricket C’ship

Jammu, Feb.18: The Pentecostal Mission Church Jammu registered great win against House of Prayers Church and entered in the next round of ongoing “3rd Inter Church Cricket Championship” at Alexander Memorial School Ground Jammu which is being organized by Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu under the supervision of Fr. Kuriakose President Christian Fellowship Trust Jammu and Rajesh Gill President Christian Sports Organization Jammu whereas the conduct committee of the championship includes Edwin Khokher, William Mattoo, Johnson Gill, Asif Gill, David Mattoo, Griffan Gill, Sunny Gill, Amit, Asif Paul Gill and Mithu. The slogan of the Championship is “Be Healthy- stay away from drugs” and main objective of the event is to involve the Christian Youths in sports activities so that they may not involve in drugs and can live a healthy life.
Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer was the Chief Guest whereas Rakesh Akram Dy.S.P. was the Guest of Honour in today’s match They guests were introduced with the participating teams and while interaction the guests advised the players to work hard throughout year and try to find place in the state national teams through trials conducted by JKCA or Youth Service & Sports.
In today’s match Pentecostal Mission Church Jammu defeated House of Prayers Church by 49 runs. Batting first Pentecostal Mission Church Jammu scored 110 runs in the allotted 12 Overs by losing 7 wickets. Sunny Gill 21 runs, Asif 20 runs and Nitish runs were the main scorers. From the bowling side Rixon took 4 wickets, Jackson took 2 wicket while Ashish claimed 1 wicket for the team. In reply House of Prayers Church could not chased the target and managed to score 61 runs by losing all wickets thus lost the match by 49 runs. Victor 21 and Frances 12 were the main scorers. From the bowling side Nitish took 4 wickets while Joshva and Asif took 2 wicket each. Nitish was declared man of the match for his alround performance. The match was officiated by Mithu, Asif Gill and Amit Athwal.
