Early Times Report

Rajouri, Feb 18: The residents of tehsil Tariarth of district Rajouri demanded removal of encroachment on Govt land and appealed to LG and Divisional Commissioner Jammu to take action against erring officials.
Some influential people have encroached upon local Tawi land and constructed shops on it and sold them. The land falls under Khasra No. 807, 951, 945, 951 a, 951/1. Locals alleged that revenue officials are involved in this encroachment that is why no action is taken.
People lodged complaint with ACB, ADC Rajouri and ASP Nowshera but no action was taken.
They said after J&K becoming UT, the LG had issued direction to remove all encroachment but no action till date. Tehsildar Tariarth Munshi Ram said that the land belongs to State and action will be taken to remove encroachment.
