DIC, Jammu organises “Orientation Training Programme” for officials

JAMMU, Feb 19: District Industries Centre, Jammu organised two day “Orientation Training Programme” for skill development of its officials.
The programme is being organized under the guidance of Director, Industries & Commerce, Jammu, Anoo Malhotra who formally inaugurated the event.
The training programme focused on sensitizing the staff about how to deal with cases pertaining to service sector being a new sector which has been kept at same pedestal as manufacturing sector. Besides, it dwelt at length about various activities like Hotel, Eco-Tourism, Aerial Ropeways, Cold Storage, Logistic Parks etc., which form part of service sector and are eligible for equal support in the shape of incentives from the government.
Meanwhile, a detailed presentation was presented on Financial Management System in Industry by Chartered Accountant Dheeraj regarding analysing various components of DPRs.
Mohit, Assistant Director of MSME highlighted various schemes of Government of India for development of MSME Sector.
Speaking on the occasion, Director appreciated DIC for conducting such an innovative programme and stressed on the need and importance of holding such skill up gradation events on regular intervals. She stressed upon the DICs to support and facilitate the entrepreneurs in preparation of DPRs and related task. She informed that the “Udyog Samagam” has also been proposed to be implemented through the DICs for which they need to equip themselves.
Later, literature on departmental schemes was distributed among the participants.
The 2nd day of the training shall be devoted to GST, schemes of EDI besides Office Management and Secretariat Practice.
The training programme was attended by Joint Director, Trishala Kumari, Joint Director, Ved Parkash, Deputy Director [P&S] Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Jammu, Manisha, CAO, Tabbasum, GM DIC Kathua, Babu Ram, GM DIC Udhampur, Suram Chand, GM DIC Ramban Vishawjeet and GM DIC Samba Sansar Chand, staff members and Functional Managers, Field Officers and other Officials of the Directorate of Industries & Commerce and DIC Jammu.
