| Influential Dentist calling the shots at CMO Poonch office | | Patronized doctor staying for last 15 years | | Rajesh Tandon

Jammu, Feb 19: An influential dentist has illegally been calling the shots at the office of Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Poonch and has been staying there for the last 15 years in violation of transfer policy.
Sources told Early Times that the alleged dentist has actually been posted at District Hospital Poonch but instead of delivering his service in the hospital, he has been working at CMO Poonch Office, with the help of senior officials of Health Department.
They further said that he has been handling all financial affairs and take administrative decisions in the office. He has become so powerful that he continued to maintain his static position in the office which can be gauged from the fact that even previous CMOs could not dare to show him exit from the office resulting the alleged doctor has made his monopoly. It has been learnt from the sources that the brother of alleged doctor is posted at Director Health Service Jammu, who helps him managing his stay at CMO Poonch office and the dentist has been calling the shots there. Apart from this doctor, there are many other employees, who have been sitting at CMO Poonch office for the last many years. The medical staff demanded immediate transfer of these employees from CMO Office so that nexus might be broken. |
