Frustrated, Pakistan desperate to incite violence in Kashmir
‘Geelani’s death rumor was aimed at creating scene before foreign diplomats’

Early Times Report

Srinagar, Feb 19: With the statement of Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan have proved wrong that Kashmir would witness “bloodbath” once the restrictions were lifted from the valley after the abrogation of the special status, the enemy county is desperate to incite violence.
Sources said the intelligence agencies have received multiple inputs that Pakistan is making every effort to incite violence and that one such major attempt was made last week when a team of over two dozen foreign diplomats visited Kashmir on February 12, 2019.
Sources said the intelligence agencies have credible inputs that the recent rumor that senior separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani had passed away was a part of the same conspiracy. Sources said through the said rumor, Pakistan wanted to create a scene before the foreign diplomats who were on Kashmir visit that time.
“The so called press statement from Hurriyat office in PoK was issued on the fateful evening when they (foreign diplomats) were in Kashmir. The only reason behind Geelani’s death rumor was to create scene before foreign diplomats. The conspiracy was to make people take to streets before the diplomats,” said a senior official on the condition of anonymity.
Sources said Pakistan was hoping that by giving rumored route plan for Geelani’s funeral when he was actually alive, the anti-India forces wanted a large assembly of people in Eidgah locality here so that “a message would be sent to world community that people want resolution to Kashmir issue.”
Officials said the enemy country is frustrated by the reaction of the people of Kashmir to the abrogation of the special status by having remained peaceful since.
On September 27, while addressing United Nations, the Pakistani PM had said Kashmir would witness bloodbath once the restrictions were lifted from the region. Interestingly no such incident took place.
