RLC Jammu issues notice to CVPPL, AFCON, JP

JAMMU, Feb 20: As a major boost for hundreds of labourers working in various companies, RLC Central Jammu issue notice to MD CVPPL, CGM Pakul Dul, GM Kiru, GM Kwar H.E.Project, Manager AFCON and MD J.P to attend the office of RLC Central on February 26.
As per the details available with Early Times, the development comes after a complaint was filled by Thakur Randeep Bhandari, social activist of Kishtwar on January 21 in a letter to Union Labour Minister Govt of India and Chief Labour Commissioner Office Govt of India to look into the affairs of the Labour class who are working under different skills in CVPPL, AFCON and JP and also over non implementation of Central Wages Act appraising the officials about the open violation of labour laws in UT of J&K.
Taking cognizance of the matter on January 29, Chief Labour Commissioner Office Central New Delhi in a letter to RLC (C) Jammu with order No F.N 20(39) 2017 LS (III).pt ask to look into the compliant filled by Thakur Randeep Bhandari of Kishtwar and reports them back about the implementation of the Act in toto.
Further letter dated 12-2- 2020, with order No.50(02)/2020/RLC/JMU Regional Labour Commissioner Central Jammu in a letter to MD CVPPL Jammu, GM Pakul Dul, GM Kwar, GM Kiru, Project Manager of AFCON & MD of Jai Prakash Associates Limited New Delhi in which heading of the letter reads as Enforcement of Minimum Wages as Per Central Notifications and it reads that "before taking any action in the matter you are directed to offer your comment in seven days and attend the office on February 20 along with all relevant records pertaining to case".
Meanwhile, Thakur Randeep Bhandari told Early Times that he had made a complaint for implementation of Central Wages Act added that if all law were implemented in JK UT from November 1 then why not Centre Wages act is being put into implementation.
He further said that had all the records available with him where there is total violations of Labour Law and problems which are being facing by Labour class at behest of these East India companies and hope that RLC Central Jammu will take appropriate action in this matter which will be in the interest of thousands of labourers working across the UT of J&K.
