SAMBA, Feb 20: District Handicrafts Department today organized an awareness camp here at Village Kulliyan, Panchayat Dabuj Shahzada, Vijaypur to generate awareness among local artisans and general public about the scope of Handicrafts Sector. SDM Vijaypur, Chander Prakash; Assistant Director, Handicrafts Samba, Sonam Verma; BDO Vijaypur, Sona Gupta; Sarpanchs and Panchs, Officers and officials of Handicrafts Department were present on the occasion. Around 200 people attended the camp and Officials of Handicrafts Department held live presentation of the crafts and a ‘nukkad natak’ was also presented for awareness among the public.
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Director, Handicrafts Samba, Sonam Verma, encouraged the people to enroll for craft training programmes of the department to avail employment opportunities for them.
