Mount Litera Zee School celebrates Mahashivratri

Jammu, Feb 20: Mount Litera Zee School, Anand Nagar, Bohri, Jammu and its junior wing “KIDZEE” celebrated “Mahashivratri” in the school Premises with religious fervour and enthusiasm in the presence of Chairman Er. Parneesh Mahajan, Liaison Officer Harvinder Singh Sihotra, Principal Dr. Nitasha Bali, Coordinator Radhika Mahajan, and Anuradha Sharma, staff and students.
The function started with a special Assembly in which the teachers gave demonstrations about the festival of “Mahashivratri”, a famous Hindu festival celebrated each year in reverence of Lord Shiva. The students were dressed up as Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati and his devotees, who enacted a small skit based on his life. The students and the teachers were filled with the spiritual fervor on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Er. Parneesh Mahajan said that “Maha Shivaratri, a Hindu festival celebrated annually in honor of Lord Shiva. There is a Shivratri in every lunisolar month of the Hindu Calendar once in a year in the late winter and before the arrival of summers. It marks MAHASHIVRATRI which means the Great night of Lord Shiva. “Mahashivratri’s” motive is a convergence of Shiva and Shakti.
