EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Feb 20: Several Kashmiri Pandit (KP) organizations have taken serious exception of some overseas bodies to take decision on community's rehabilitation. Sources said KP organizations while expressing their dismay over the role of GKPD said that before meeting Home Minister Amit Shah it should have discussed the issue with other organizations of Pandits threadbare and framed a roadmap for the community's rehabilitation in the Valley in accordance to Margdarshan resolution of 1991 which was the cornerstone and an expression of community's aspirations.
The leaders of these organizations still exuded lot of confidence on present government saying that being fully abreast with Pandits’ problems; it will not take any decision which will force another exodus on them within some years after their return. These organizations cautioned Modi government not to tread the path of previous governments in this regard as such step will boomerang.
Sources said there is almost consensus among KPs on one place settlement in Valley or carving out a Homeland as per Margdarshan resolution. However, some oversees KP bodies who don’t have to return to Valley are playing politics on return of the community, which is not acceptable to KP bodies, sources added.
Sources said these organizations have also decided to come on a joint platform and launch a united struggle for separate Homeland in Valley.
Sources said in this connection heads of all KP organizations have decided to sink all their differences for larger interests of the community.
