Maha Shivratri celebrated with religious fervour across Ramban

RAMBAN, FEBRUARY 21: Maha Shivratri was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety across the district Ramban today concurrently with other parts of the country.

On the occasion a Shiv Shobha Yatra was taken out in which Senior Superintendent of Police Ramban Haseeb Ur Rehman, ASP Sanjay Parihar, DSP Asgar Malik, officers of civil administration, Spiritual Leader, Dr. Mohan Lal, President Maha Shivratri Celebration Committee, Ramban, Kunal Magotra, President Snatan Dharm Sabha, Gopal Krishan Raina, Ashok Puri, Chairman, Nation First Trust , Neeraj Singh Chib, Vaneet Verma and various other prominent citizens participated.

Devotees joined the procession on the way. The Shobha yatra started from Pracheen Shiv Mandir, Maitra and passed through areas including Govind Pura Maitra, Boli Bazaar, Main Bazaar Ramban, and finally culminated at Ragunath Mandir Ramban.

The District and Police administration made adequate security and other arrangements for the convenience of devotees.

People of different communities besides devotees including men, women and children standing alongside the Shobha Yatra route welcomed the Yatra. Meantime Langer was also organised by the Snatan Dharm Sabha at Maitra and by the locals at Ramban.

Speaking on the occasion SSP lauded the efforts of public of Ramban for maintaining exemplary brotherhood; tranquility and peace in the district.
