ADC inspects district hospital

KISHTWAR, Feb 22: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh Tara, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar Pawan Parihar made a surprise visit to District hospital Kishtwar.
During the visit, the ADC inspected various sections of the hospital including OPD section, Emergency Department, Diagnostic Section, ICU, NICU, Dialysis Unit, Wards, Blood Banks and passed directions to the section in-charges to maintain the guaranteed cleanliness and hygiene of their respective sections.
He also reviewed the staff position in the District Hospital and found that 18 out of 40 posts of Nurses are vacant since long time. The ADC directed the superintendent in charge of hospital to recommend the vacancies to the higher authorities. In addition to it 37 vacant posts of paramedical staff are to be filled up on priority basis as soon as possible, he observed.
On the issue of Ambulance services in the Hospital, Superintendent of Hospital apprised the ADC that 7 out of 10 ambulances are functional while 3 are non-functional.
The Medical Superintendent was directed to make dress code mandatory for all medical and Para-medical staff for the maintenance of punctuality and discipline in the prime hospital of this district. Necessary directions were also issued for construction of boundary wall for the safety of Hospital staff and patients.
The ADC also inquired about the availability of medicinal stock in the hospital under PMBJAK and directed the Medical Superintendent to provide the guidelines to doctors for prescribing cheap medicines to patients based on the medical ethics and directed for installation of sign boards indicating the location of medicinal stores.
