| Narcotic smuggler held with heroin | | | 
Udhampur, Feb 22: Udhampur Police toady recovered seven grams of contraband substance (heroin) at Circular road.
Giving details Rajiv Pandey, SSP Udhampur said that a police party of Police Station Udhampur led by Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary SHO PS Udhampur under the supervision of Rajinder Singh Katoch Addl. SP Udhampur and Dr. Rohit Chadgal DySP Hqrs. Udhampur laid a naka near circular road Udhampur for checking of vehicles.
During naka checking, police team caught one suspected person who tried to hide himself from the police party. The suspected person was taken into custody and during his search seven grams of heroin like substance was recovered from narcotic smuggler namely Romesh Singh who was arrested on the spot and recovered heroin like substance was also seized. In this connection, a Case FIR no. 92/2020 u/s 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation of the case is taken up. |
