| Daughter of soil conferred with ‘ Zohra Sehgal National Award-2020’ | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 22 : Kajal Suri , a renowned theatre director and artist from Jammu, presently , senior executive producer in Drama section , All India Radio has been conferred with prestigious Zohra Sehgal National Award 2020, a prestigious honour conferred upon the legendaries in various field of art and culture.
The award was conferred upon her at 3rd National Noida Rang Mahotsva held at New Delhi along with other luminaries that included legendary Vishva Deepak Trikha. A shawl and citation was presented to Kajal Suri on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Kajal revisited her journey into theatrics from her soil in Jammu and said that she has a long drawn association with Jammu theatre and started her career in theatre and drama from Jammu.
Her father, Late Vijay Suri was a well known theatre and television personality who always was mentor and support to her in all her endeavours.
She owns a special distinction in New Delhi for being the most phenomenal artist and has to her credit a long unending list of honours, awards and contributions in field of Drama.
Zohra Sehgal National Award is a prestigious honour from where legendaries in the field of art are chosen from all over India for their respective contributions.
Recipient of Greenfly Excellence Award 2017 in theatre drama and voice and award for contribution in the field of Hindi theatre 2017 at Sri Ram Centre, Kajal is one of the frontline choice as guest faculty to many national and international theatre events. Endowed with natural instinct as best woman actor, director and producer of the contemporary times , Kajal was selected by Punjabi Academy among five women directors for Punjabi Women Director's Festival- a prestigious women award. She was also honored with Sur Aradhana Award for contribution in field of art and culture. |
