RAJOURI, Feb 24: The Intra-Zonal Sports Festival 2020 organized by Govt PG College Rajouri was thrown open by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri.
DDC Rajouri Mohd Nazir Sheikh was chief guest while Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri, Chandan Kohli was guest of honour.
Prof (Dr) Shakeel Ahmed Raina Principal of the College and Ch Liaqat Ali Addl Superintendent of Police Rajouri were special guests of the occasion. This grant initiative is taken by Higher Education Department, J&K Govt with the intention to involve students of all the Colleges of J&K in variegated indoor and outdoor sports activities. Nine Colleges of Rajouri District including Govt. PG College Rajouri, GDC Thanamandi, GDC Koteranka, GDC Budhal, GDC Kalakote, GDC Sunderbani, GDC Nowshera, GDC Doongi and GDC Darhal are participating in various Sports events which will culminate on February 27.
The event will witness various indoor and outdoor sports activities including Cricket, Football, Kho Kho, Kabaddi, Tug of War, Badminton, Table Tennis and Volley Ball in which both the boys and girls shall compete. All the staff members and students of the College attended this inaugural ceremony. |
