JU VC felicitates Hardeep Bali, IGNOU Gold medalist

JAMMU, Feb 24: Prof. Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor University of Jammu felicitated Journalism and Mass Communication gold medalist, Hardeep Kour Bali on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dhar said that J&K is brimming with talent and the institutions of higher learning have a stipulated role to play to initiate nurture and transform the youth to undertake journey towards gaining knowledge and become highly competent work -professionals, and good citizens of tomorrow. It is equally imperative that the energy of youth is channelized in an area of their interest and youth of today have a potential to be job creators rather than be job seekers, said Prof Dhar.
It is pertinent to mention here that Ms Bali was recently awarded gold medal at the 33rd convocation of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), the largest Open University in the world at Baba Saheb Ambedkar Convention Centre, IGNOU Campus, New Delhi by Ramesh Pokhriyal "Nishank", Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India. At Jammu Centre of IGNOU, Prof Manoj Dhar was the Chief Guest at the Convocation and gave away degrees to the students of Jammu Centre. Bali being the Gold Medalist was invited to Delhi.
She completed her course in December 2018 with 93 percent marks standing first at all India level.
Among others Siddharth Dogra and Dr Vinay Thusoo, Official Spokesperson, University of Jammu were also present on the occasion.
