JAMMU, Feb 24: NGO Jiyo Aur Jeene Do has demanded an impartial probe into CAPD Department scam which was caught by the Anti-Corruption Bureau recently.
Addressing a press conference here today, President of the NGO Tariq Shah said, "Our organization demands an unbiased investigation by the CBI of about Rs 260 crore scam in CAPD department."
Shah said this is a scam in which ration meant for poor people was embezzled adding that our NGO goes to the poor people of far flung areas and listens to their problems. Ration is a major problem of these areas. People stand in queues in the ration depot from morning till evening. The scam of CAPD department is the work of snatching the morsel from the mouth of all those people.
We appeal district Udhampur administration and Lieutenant General of Jammu Kashmir to order investigation of such scams and seize the property of the guilty and distribute it among the needy people so that it gives a lesson to all those who do such shameful works. |
