KATRA, Feb 24: GRP Katra conducted a mock drill at a Railway Bridge Katra, with an aim to test the response and cooperation of various departments during any natural or manmade calamity.
Besides various departments have been briefed regarding their role and responsibilities in an emergency situation.
Moreover, such mock exercises will help the departments to identify their weak links and to make a preparedness plan for Swift action for the future.
The drill has been conducted under the supervision of SSP Railway Katra, Ranjit Singh Sambyal. SDPO Railways Katra, S.S Railway Katra, BMO Katra SHO Police Station GRP Katra, I/C post-Commander RPF and IRP 1st Bn took part in the said drill. After the mock drill, SSP Railway Katra told all the agencies to learn a lesson from these drills and enhance the skills of cooperation and coordination while tackling any eventuality. |
